Welcome to Single Volunteers Boston (SVB):

Single Volunteers Boston (SVB) is a 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit non-profit organization that connects singles who share a common interest in volunteerism. Our objective is to fulfill the volunteer needs of non-profit organizations in the Greater Boston Area while having fun and meeting people. SVB acts as a volunteer clearing house, providing nonprofit agencies with volunteers while providing volunteers with a convenient, fun and efficient way to volunteer. We are not a dating or matchmaking service.

The requirements to volunteer with Single Volunteers Boston are:

* You must be 18 years of age or older.
* You must affirm that you have read and understand the volunteer agreement in its entirety. See FAQ's
* You must be single (not married or in a committed relationship unless holding a leadership position). Please see our partners listing for a list of other nonprofit's if you are not eligible to participate with SVB. See FAQ's
* If you agree to participate in a project, you must arrive at the project site on time. Since you are making a commitment to SVB and our Nonprofit Partner to volunteer at the event, please try to give us 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. This gives us time to fill your volunteer slot.

Why SVB was created:

SVB strives to create a fun, productive environment for Boston singles to connect. SVB is an alternative to bars and dating services for single professionals who want to meet one another while performing worthwhile services in the greater Boston community. In doing so, SVB provides singles with the opportunity to impact their community, and environment in a tangible way.

What SVB actually does:

SVB offers "one time" volunteer opportunities to 10 or more volunteers at a time. These projects can be anything from answering phones during a telethon to staffing blood drives, or cleaning zoos and parks. Events last anywhere from 2-5 hours and are followed by a social event at a local restaurant or pub where volunteers can continue to get to know one another. For more information, please visit our FAQ or JOIN SVB pages.
